Happy New Year, RFTF! rockhounds!

 

 

 

2017 was a quite a year for me. From the start, at the rain sodden and windblown Quartzsite Pow-Wow, to the Last Blast in the Panoche Hills, it was filled with great adventures, and personal trials.

 

Old friends who'd gotten lost in their own adventures resurfaced to rejoin in mine. New rockhounding friends found there way to join in my adventures. Great rockhounding friend...

Hi, rockhounds!

I've been away from the website for awhile, and I'd like to apologize for my neglect. It's been a tumultuous and challenging year for me, but there have been many bright spots along the way.

Rose Quartz Dig

You all missed a fun dig =good pink rock, (Rose Quartz) plenty of bugs to slap at, spit out ,sneeze out, and otherwise curse at. Small group of Elk moved through camp. They use camper for a rubing post. I found no antler scraches on paint. Sunday Dig - More best color bitts for tumble = 4 batches.

The chips from Rhodonite dig have been tumbling for 07 days in my special grit. Now in polish 3 days and will be done ! And wire wrap here we come !
